Malente is a community of 11,000 inhabitants located right in the centre of the ‘Holsteinische Schweiz’ (Holstein Switzerland). It is surrounded by a landscape of lakes and forests, not far from the Baltic Sea with its clean beaches and about 90 km north of Hamburg.
Malente hosted a pre-training camp for the Olympic Games 1972 for athletes from Africa and Central America.

The Muehlenberg Hospital situated just 600m from the sports school is one of the most modern rehabilitation clinics in northern Germany. Embedded in the sports school is a physiotherapy practice, which is available to you.

The sports school restaurant offers regional and international cuisine and takes into account the athletes’ nutritional needs and cultural backgrounds.

The sports school itself offers several athletic activities: a multi-function gymnasium (270sqm) for various indoor activities (badminton, basketball, volleyball, handball, etc.), a swimming pool with sauna and solarium, a modern fitness studio with a free weight section, several table tennis tables, and two tennis courts, as well as a carefully marked system of running trails through Malente`s forests.
There are also several football pitches in Malente as well as a high-ropes course, shooting and archery facilities and water sports such as swimming, water skiing, sailing, rowing and canoeing on the various lakes in the Malente area.
The sports school can plan a fun and varied leisure programme for you if you wish.

The sports school can organize excursions to nearby places of cultural interest for you if desired.
